Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We proudly subscribe to the 3R idea of reducing the environmental impact of human activities. Together, these three steps help to reduce waste and improve the sustainability of our living habits. When we, our business partners and our customers make a small contribution, it can have a big impact on protecting our environment. Let's take a closer look at each part of the 3R concept and how our company contributes to it.
Reduce
Everyone should think about what they really need and avoid unnecessary purchases or excessive consumption. Reducing means reducing the amount of waste we produce while minimising our consumption of resources. Our goal is therefore to prevent waste and reduce the need for new materials. We have included reusable products in our product range to encourage our customers to buy more durable products that will last longer. We minimise packaging. We package our products in environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging. We reduce the consumption of new production materials. We design products to be as lightweight as possible (while maintaining the durability required by the customer), which leads to the conservation of natural resources and a reduced ecological footprint. By continuously optimizing our manufacturing processes, we achieve greater energy efficiency - reducing energy and water consumption. We carefully plan our purchases and consumption of materials to minimize waste. We reduce waste. Less waste means less pressure on landfills and recycling systems. Implementing the Reduce concept requires awareness and a change in daily habits, but in the long term it brings benefits for us and the environment.
Reuse
Reuse means reusing things instead of throwing them away after the first use. Our goal is to extend the life of our products. To reduce waste by offering new ways to reuse our products. As an alternative to disposable products, we offer products that our customers can reuse - the Reuse range. We have developed and are continually expanding a range of plastic products (made from polystyrene or polypropylene) designed for reuse. Their material composition and washability allow multiple turnarounds and cycles of use for the same purpose for which they were originally manufactured. The expected lifetime of our Reuse products is proven by the requirements of European legislation, Czech legislation and the requirements of standards of resistance in use (migration of substances into food, mechanical resistance in the dishwasher/microwave, etc.). Reusing our products reduces the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Extending the life of our products means less need for new materials and energy for production. Implementing the Reuse concept requires creativity and a willingness to find new ways to use things, but has significant positive impacts on the environment and our customers' wallets.
Recycle
Recycling is the process of turning waste into new materials and products. Our goal is to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills or incinerators and to reduce the use of new natural resources. We analyse the types and quantities of waste generated during the production process. As a result, we operate an efficient waste sorting system. We educate employees and inform customers about the importance of recycling and what can be recycled and how to sort properly. Which is an essential step for effective recycling. We have long applied internal recycling - i.e. we recycle materials in-house. We grind, regrind and reuse plastic residues in the production of new plastic products. We support external recycling - we are clients of the EKO-KOM packaging waste collection and recycling system. We respect European and local recommendations on product and packaging design for the circular economy. Recycling is a key element of sustainable waste management and contributes to environmental protection. By sorting and recycling correctly, we can all contribute to a more sustainable future. We believe that properly implemented recycling programs can significantly reduce our environmental footprint and improve our corporate image as a responsible and sustainable company.
